About the event
"An Afternoon of Beijing Opera" will feature renowned artist Jun Li 李军, who is among the Tier One performing artists of China. Jun, a current member of Shanghai Jingju Theatre Company 上海京剧院, specializes in playing the role of laosheng 老生. He is also a member of China Theatre Association and a winner of the prestigious Gold Medal of National Mei Lanfang Drama Competition.
The presentation will be in Chinese, with English interpretation. The event is free and open to all, but spaces are limited. Please RSVP with EVENTBRITE.
Biography
Jun Li 李军 is a nationally ranked Tier One performing artist and has been a member of Shanghai Jingju Theatre Company 上海京剧 院, specializing in the roles of laosheng ⽼⽣. He is also a member of the China Theatre Association and the winner of the prestigious Gold Medal of National Mei Langfang Drama Competition 梅兰芳⼤赛.
In addition to his professional performances, Jun Li is dedicated to promoting Beijing Opera to the general audience, especially the young generations. His lecture series, "Stories of Beijing Opera 京剧那点事⼉", has been popular in China and beyond.
